The Advanced Diploma in Facilities Management is designed to introduce fundamental and advanced knowledge required for entry-level and mid-level roles in facilities and property management. Overview of contract law principles and their application in construction industry practices.

Introduction to sustainability concepts, including energy management, waste management, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable construction practices.

Understanding asset maintenance management concepts, along with practical skills and techniques for effective management of built assets.

Study of service procurement principles, including planning, decision-making, and management of service provisions in facilities management.

Introduction to leasing and management of commercial properties and real estate operations.

Understanding land and property rights in Singapore, including legal aspects of property transfer and real estate practices.

Concepts of space planning, productivity, workplace efficiency, cost management, and health and safety considerations.

English proficiency as per Singapore PEI requirements (GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent, or placement test).

Experience

Work experience is not mandatory. However, mature applicants aged 30 years and above with at least 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to institutional assessment.
